Wide Field Viewing Lens, High Quality, Covers 4x5

Very high quality multi-element viewing lens manufactured by Kodak for the U.S. Navy at a cost of $48! This lens has a 5 inch (126mm) field of view at a viewing distance of 5 inches with a magnification of approximately 2 to 3X. The glass surface is approximately 37mm in diameter, the depth is 15mm, the metal collar around the lens is 49x63mm.

This lens was used for aerial photo and map evaluation requiring high resolution optics. Build a hood or stand for it and this lens will make a superb medium or large format magnifier, view camera ground glass loupe or light box viewing loupe. A built-in metal frame with 3 attachment holes provides this capability. Viewing is done with the metal frame facing down. Condition: Brand New in original paper wrap. Guaranteed to be as described.
